Airtel broadband, technical, review

hello people,i'm in thoughts of taking up the new airtel broadband turbo 1299 plan. i've been using dataone as of now. i need to know i airtel boadband also uses adsl technology and is it compulsary to buy a modem from them? as i already have a bsnl modem (mt880 & mt841) wid me..also.. wud i pay landline rental long wth it? and i've heard stories bout bad service from airtel.. is it worth it? and are speeds consistent??

airtel is awesome. i dont think they would force you to buy a modem. but do not expect them to configure the modem for you. you might get lucky if the person that visits your home decides to help you with the installation. airtel service is good. speeds are consistent. you might want to check out about fair usage policy though.

u need NOT to buy any MODEM as u know the turbo 1299 has Fair usage policy then speeds will be reduced to half of the speed told to u if u r a heavy downloader they that might be not a good option for u

wel yea.. i do download approx 40gb a month.. n i'm currently on bsnl 256kbps UL plan..so airtel is a go?? or no go?

well 40 gb is not a problem, iirc airtel's limit for 256 kbps is 50 gb

Go for Airtel if you have it in your area. I have had an extremely good experience with them, and would strongly recommend them.
