Yep.. there is No restart required.... but for the existing connection (say download of file which is at 45% in IDM) you will have to pause & restart to get increased speeds.In my case while downloading a 450 mb file in IDM.. I was getting speed of 60 kbps at 9:30. At 10:15 also same.. but when I paused & started again speed became 115 kbps.

can any one confirm whether double speed upgrade is going to happen for (512kbps)Day/1Mbps Night (turbo1299 Plan) plan?

i 'think' airtel made it clear that the upgrades are only going to be for uniform speed packs. but looking at how these diff speed packages would become overpriced, they would probably have to drop the prices or change their speeds too. so i guess we would have to see what they do with these plans. there is also a mess for users who are paying 100 rupees extra for double speed currently. what happens to them? airtel is unlikely to give them four times the speed for just 100 rupees extra. so well airtel has created a mess for themselves and the users.

No. The 100 rupees people have alread been upgraded. They gain money off of them. The rest will get it for free!

sorry but i mentioned the wrong plan in my post, 512kbpsDay/1Mbps Night Plan is called turbo 1099 and basic price is Rs 1099 .

ur right ,some plans like mine would def become overpriced and even worse ,im sure many people have taken the option like me to pay in advance for 6 months ,thinking we would be saving money.

hi guys...i called air tel cc and asked them about speed upgrade for this plan.. he said speed will be upgraded to 1 Mbps for day and night...we will not get 1 Mbps in day and 2 Mbps..so i asked whats the diff between 1099 512 kbps and turbo 1299 plan he said both plans will be upgraded and he requested me to change my current plan to 1099 512 kbps so that it will be get speed upgraded.. thanx..
