I too got it waived off by calling CC.

According to him, this service got automatically activated on almost all Delhi Airtel Landline phones. It was free for the first 2 months n would get converted to a paid one from the 3rd month. And, if anyone likes to discontinue it, he/she can make a call to the CC for the same.

However, I asked him a simple question - U never told me tht you have activated this service and how the hell I wud be aware tht this wud be a paid service from the 3rd month? At least a call from your side would have made things better. Never expected that AIRTEL wud go tht down to earn some profit.

He recorded the complaint n waived of the Caller Tune charge from my bill

this happend because you didnt fill your form properly....the facilites you need on phone is to be crossed out...like dsl,vas,etc..and the facilites you dont need should be ticked...you must have left the vas, caller tune section blank .....sales executive are pretty smart...

It wasn't due to any form problems, Airtel had this as a billing error in September, I too got the same charge and a refund the next month for it.
