Hi All,
Can anyone confirm if Airtel DTH still have broadcaster packs as I don’t see them on my Airtel Thanks App.

Trying to activate Star Premium HD Hindi pack.

PS :- Not sure how many still use Airtel DTH in this forum

Best,

Airtel DTH User here :)
I have only 1 broadcaster pack - NDTV North which gives 3 NDTV channels at lower rates compared to individual channel rates combined.
Never tried other packs as I have subscribed A-la-carte for few HD channels only.

Thanks 🙏

Are the broadcasters plan visible for you on your Airtel Thanks App, it’s just annoying to do change plan from app, no idea whose brain was behind to remove it from desktop access.🤦🏻

I can see option to change Packs in Airtel Thanks App when Add/Remove Channel option is selected under DTH service.
Its 2nd option after Base Pack, but not sure why Page always open with A-La-Carte option. Scroll to left to see change Pack option.

Yes, but i cant see those packs in my Airtel Thanks App, when checked with cc was informed it's only for prepaid customers and not for postpaid, i am using Airtel Black and it's not applicable for me. I am not sure if the DTH service provider can deny a brodcaster package, not sure what the TRAI rules says regarding the same.

So I never took Airtel Black even though Airtel store guys insisted several times when I had Airtel Postpaid. At store they said I can get several channels, but none of HD. Fod HD, I had to subscribe separately and it would have been added in Airtel Black bill. I said No Thanks :D
You can see my channels selected above. Along with that, there is NCF charges of 150 and Recording pack of Rs 30. So my monthly cost is around Rs 450.

Same reason i didn't opt for the airtel xstream box along with black plan because in order to keep it active i have to pay 150 rupees NCF additional along with 1500 security deposit. They do promise that i will get 350 channels though. No idea what are those channels. I am talking about their top tier black plan which costs 2299 exc. gst.

Airtel black is a trap tbh. Once you opt for it , they make it very difficult to opt out. Also you end up losing a lot of money because of their stupid rules.
A little off topic question - How is the picture clarity on Airtel DTH? On Tata Play it looks terrible on my LG 55 inch 4K TV.

I have 32 inch LCD Sony TV. So HD channels looks good anyways :)
I have mostly opted for HD channels for Hindi/English movie channels and some GECs.
