Yeah..my usage in the past 6-7 months of data usage has varied from 300-400 mb earlier to almost 800-900 MB off late, but then I had stopped switching to Wi-Fi on seeing so many MBs being "wasted", will probably switch back to flicking the Wifi switch while at home mode.
Plus, I might switch to the higher 375+taxes plan which gives an additional 0.25 GB & also converts 600 M-M minutes to 600 M-M/Local/STD mins...if required..
Airtel network is so terrible, I am so irritated within 15 days, that I have sent a mail asking them to switch me to a corporate plan with much better calling benefits for Rs.175 (better than the Rs.249 plan they sent me without data). If not, I might be finally porting out of Airtel mobile after 6+ years. Making it a complete circle of quitting their Broadband , DTH & Mobile .. in that order
Now the hunt for next 3g provider resumes. Someone recommended BSNL. I am not sure how easy it is to port to them. I am now even considering porting my Airtel Postpaid to BSNL prepaid & Convert Vodafone prepaid to Corporate Postpaid...
Porting into bsnl is easy, so long as your ID proofs are in order
However, porting out of airtel postpaid will be pain. Might take more than one try. Moreover, test the bsnl network before porting out, unless of course you'll be using this number for testing.
ID proof should be fine, I guess. Moving out of Airtel, well its actually a second option as I have not had any issues with calls & stuff. Only last few months this plan changes & 3g has been a pain, so, if they can set me up with some good plan, I would probably look to migrate Vodafone prepaid to BSNL prepaid..
So, after a harsh email. I got a call, the guy who sent me the earlier mail missed noticing that since I have requested plans specific to a corporate CUG, I should have been offered different plans, the guy who called has now asked me send some details and I will be able switch to a good plan for 175 without data (600 mins)
Now need to decide if to revert to Vodafone for 3g or try bsnl or reliance
