Airtel data usage fake?

When I was on Airtel... I kept my data transfer to below 120GB till the 28th of the month. I used the last 30 GB in the last 2-3 days of the month to get as few redirections as possible.On BSNL... I check for my usage periodically manually because that's what I have to do and plan according to that. Last month I managed to hit FUP on the 23rd day and the last 7 days were painful.

I did the same thing. But surprisingly there were no redirections at all (even after rebooting the modem multiple times). Maybe because I use OpenDNS?

OpenDNS does not fix the thing. You just got lucky I guess. I rarely got redirected after a modem restart. For me it was most like during web browsing.

I'll see how it behaves in the coming months. Finishing up 80 GB is a big challenge for me. Consumed about 70 GB in the last billing cycle.
