Hey Guyz, Just want to know how the billing for Airtel takes place. My free subscription got over and i continued with the South mega pack. I ez-recharged for 310 rs. The cc told me that I have been changed to the south mega plan. Then she said I will be charged 9.90 Rs per day. When I probed for more info, I didn't get the right info. Then I left it. Now for the past 2 days, I have been charged 19.97 rs..Why they are charging on Day by day basis? My monthly package is 275 + 10.2% Tax= 303NOTE: I know when we divide it on Day by day basis, the amount will be 9.9 or something.I want to know, if I don't want the connection for 5 days, can we call CC and cancel for those 5 days.. Will we be charged for those 5 days?I really don't get the Day by Day basis calculation..Are you guyz getting charged like this or it varies by Plans??Any suggestions are welcome!!!:thumb::thumb:

I have Tata Sky and the balance gets reduced on a daily basis, similar to what you have mentioned. Also, no operator would really allow you to 'suspend' your connection for a short duration, while you still have some balance in your account. TataSky has a feature like this which allows suspension I believe in multiples of months, upto a maximum of 3 I think.

@clanxairtel digital tv billing charged like this.South mega pack rental 275PM + 10.3% tax =303.325PM*12months=3639.9per year/365 days=9.97Rs per day.

AFAIK you cant suspend your connection for few days, but those rules might change on per case basis. And the day by day billing is particularly useful in case of add on packs. For eg., you can subscribe to Set Max only on the day of a particular movie you want is shown and be charged for only that day. This wont be applicable to certain top ups which needs a minimum 6 month commitment.
