Airtel Digital TV HD DTH has no HD Content right now!

I noticed in the morning that NGC HD had been created. Channel No. 339. I was not able to get the relay though. Can someone confirm if they can see the channel now?

Yes. You are right the NatGeo HD is Rs.15/month. I thought of subscribing it and called the CC. What they said is they do not have NatGeo HD at all. What they say is they have ESPN HD. But channel #224 itself not available at all. I think NatGeo HD is not yet ready to view as on July 13, 2010 00:50 hrs and it is just added in the HD package details to get the new HD subscribers. Without a HD channel nobody will get the HD connection. right?

now that the world cup is over... what exactly is left for viewing in HD? i guess all the folks who got their HD devices are left with Discovery and National Geography. how long would it work for the customers.

There is no HD channel/content from Airtel right now. So HD STB is just another SD STB until they add a HD channel/content.

This is ridiculous! Airtel rushed in to join the HD bandwagon with a "Me Too" attitude, without getting agreements in place with broadcasters to provide HD content. Atleast the other service providers had Discovery and Nat Geo HD before the start of the World Cup. As of today (July 13), Airtel has no HD channel. It's a shame that they are advertising the Airtel Digital HD service when they do not have HD content to offer.

I wonder what the big bosses at Airtel are doing! Their Customer Care folks as usual have no idea at all.

Call their CC and ask for a refund. By the way, are they charging for HD channels even if there are no channels?

i think they just had one paid for HD channel which is no longer available.
