I hate ads, expecially when we pay for service still getting ads.In foreign countries, 2 choices for cable tvs-1. Pay rent- No ads, watch tv without any ad breaks.2. Zero Rent- Full of ads, still the same content. Its nice to hear that bigtv doesnt have irritating logo!Will go for it!

BigTv has no logo?? You must be kidding me. They have one gigantic logo on the top left of the screen. Believe me, its really big; no pun intended.

Thanks swam1231, i am from adambakkam i will check this week. Can you mention how good the clarity of Digital tv because the other guy in this thread mentioned both airtel and big tv is good. but i am watching in pc i can find the big tv quality is poor speciallly in tamil channels.

bigtv will always be positioned for masses with an avergae quality product, they dont have the quality of making their products premium and this applies to all the reliance brands. Tata Sky has marketed themselves as premium brand and i think even airtel intends to do so. And hence you will realise the overall quality standards in each of these dth providers. then the choice remains wit the customer as to which brand would suit him the most.so you are bound to find weaknesses in all..

quantity is a matter of transponder space, which will go up with new satellites.`i read it newspaper tatas will soon get an approval for the same. big tv is suffering from quality bcas they are squeezing more channels per transponder and they believe in quantity witout quality. it is too early to say anything about airtel right now, but i am sure they are also going to give tough time to everyone..

@karthick.a - Couldn't agree with you more on the 3 classification.. @christy_lenin - i saw Big TV demo too.. There was no difference, at least for me, from Airtel. I watched an ongoing ICL match in both Airtel & Big.. And it looked pretty much the same.. Didn't see Tamil Channels anyways..
