Airtel DTH Picture Quality on New Sony / Samsung LCD-LED TV's

Hello All,I am buying a New Sony Bravia KLV32EX500 Or Samsung LA32B550K1R LCD TV .. Note that Both are 1080p 32" LCD TVMy Only concern is how would be the Overall Picture Quality/Clarity Output on these TV's when i connect this to the Airtel STB .. Can i Expect my TV Viewing experience to be something close to HD View? Should i use any HD / HDMI Converter ? I am a novice/newbie in this area.. PLEASE ADVISE

We don't have lot of HD content in India in the first place to really use a full HD TV to the hilt. Your picture quality would be good, but nothing close to HD, since Airtel doesn't deliver your signals in HD.

1. If you need High def pictures, The only option is Sun DTH's HD service. It now broadcasts IPL in HDTV and also Discovery and National Geographic. It broadcasts Color channel and couple of south indian regional channels by having "upscaled" the standard definition pictures. (The standard definition picutres are however with higher mbps quality provided by the channels.)2. Other DTH operators are coming out with HD set top boxes in Q2 or later, as per their marketing publicity. We don't know when and at what cost.3. Yes, You will require HDMI cable and connection to get HDTV picture quality properly, though you can manage with other connections.4. You can use a Blu ray player and play Blu ray cinema disks instead of normal DVD. This will give you HDTV movies. These are all available in all indian metros and big cities.4. Airtel quality is same like any other DTH. Which is broadly similar to any set top box based cable service. These are all low quality standard definition pcitures.I hope this clarifies.Please let us know (a) Why you shortlisted this model; (b) why you selected this size of television and (c) how much you intend to pay for this?ThanksJay

at least 10 years from till date . nothing can be change beacuse we have no need for that . and things always changes when u need somethings.. changes will happen so soon
