@itzmynet
Just got my black bill too. No hike yet.
The SMS clearly said the hike would be seen in this bill. I'm pleasantly surprised airtel didn't implement this properly.
Edit 2: I may have read this wrong. The message might have meant the hike is effective 24th Aug so the change would be seen in September's bill.
They could have worded better though
Edit: lol. Just noticed "chor*tel" is being auto corrected to "airtel" on this forum
No change in Airtel BB/Black plan prices yet. My old postpaid plan went up by Rs 50/month and drop in data from 30 to 20 GB
PS - no use cursing Airtel, if you don't want to pay up just change your mobile or BB provider and be done with it. All mobile providers (dunno about BSNL) are have increased their plan prices incl. Jio and VI.
I'm on 499 postpaid plan. Till now no hike. Also, plan selector shows that I'm on the 499 plan. hopefully it'll be grandfathered for longer unless I upgrade/downgrade the plan
A silver lining to the cloud created by increased prices - my data allowanace is retained at 30 GB with carry forward of unused data just as before.
But remember, an increase from 199 to 249 though it seems reasonable is still a stiff 25% hike in my bill. However, It is at par or slightly less than what Jio and VI charge for their cheapest post paid plans.
