I have 2 unlocked Airtel Hotspots
1. Huawei E5573CS-609
2. Huawei E5573S-606
Huawei E5573CS-609 was being used by my son in Jaipur with an Airtel Postpaid sim for data.
He came to Delhi last week and the hotspot would not get signal. The same Airtel Sim works in a phone and another Amazon Basics Hotspot and a USB Hotspot.
We tried it in the other Airtel Huawei hotspot, same result, it got only 2G signal.
I went to the Airtel store, and all they could say is some other users also came to report that their hotspots were not working any longer in the last week.
Since the sim works in a phone, there is nothing wrong with the sim. Its a problem with the hotspots.
My went back to Jaipur yesterday, and it connects to 4G LTE there and works just fine there.
What could be happening ? Could it be that Airtel has switched 4G to some bands in Delhi that are not supported by these hotspots ?
