airtel is not letting me port my number to Uninor (mobile number portability)

Can you imagine that i cannot recharge my airtel prepaid mobile from last 3 days. I recharged with 333, 100, 333, 249 online. My account is debited but no recharge done. Icicibank says talk to airtel. Airtel cc does not know what to do. I am sure airtel will create poblems for MNP too. Fu** Airtel Fu** MNP. Will buy a new BSNL card.

Dude il clarify, Like Atm system or the bank recognises a Series of no's As airtel and a Series of Vodafone.
For Ex: i have a AIRCEL no 97004xxxxx, The bank takes it as Aircel and stores it. I Mnp the same number to Vodafone. later when i recharge ur Rc will be unsuccessful.
I faced this problem with my Airtel No which i ported to Vodafone!!

So better Withdraw the cash from debit card and then recharge!

I understand vikky but i have not opted for MNP yet. I was able to do this 6 last months. Now if i call 198, i can only hear dial *121# to get balance info. But i want to talk to cc executive. Then called 121 paying 50Paise for every 3 min. All i can hear is they do not know where is my money.From last one year, airtel service level has come down drastically and in last 6 to 8 months their cc has become worse than BSNL. I am feeling like kicking on Sunil Mittal's a*s if he is in front of me. That bugger is concentrating on expanding business in Africa and Bangladesh at cost of sucking money from indians.

That is the same case over here. but for me its free to talk to cc Executive. Problem is You people are very Slow in Realising, When the services go worst Give them a Chance if they dont improve Kick it Out.Which i have Already done to Airtel Mobile and Broadband.Broadband in April 10 and Airtel Mobile in Dec 10. I am happy That i've Been Saved From Looting by The Company.And Sunil Mittal My A**!!

Even i have kicked Airtel broadband and landline before 6 or 8 months. Now time has come for kicking mobile services.

* Update6: 22nd Feb, 2011: I had given a fresh MNP request with a fresh UPC about a week ago. Looks like airtel approved the request this time as my no. has been successfully ported to Uninor!
As a bye-bye gift (?), airtel had changed my tariff plan from 1p/sec to 1rs/min since last 2 days.

During this whole ordeal of mine, I didn't receive a single call back from airtel. :notallowed:
I'm glad that finally I've kicked airtel broadband and mobile out of my house...

Upto 60% discount on 1p/sec. - Discount Plan
There's also a FUP'ed UL (?) calling plan: 700 local mins. + 2000 U2U mins. for 197/198 INR per month - Talk non-stop

Uninor's signal strength @ my place is -65 dBm to -70 dBm. In other words, it's very good! :yahoo:

airtel signal strength @ my place is -90(+) dBm. In other words, frequent call drops...

Overall, Uninor is cheap and has better signal strength at my place than crappy airtel.
