Airtel launches SMS2.0 in India

Airtel has launched SMS2.0 for Indian customers.

I sent SMS to number given (SMS2 to 543210) , then got a reply immediately saying I will soon get a link and I must click to download SMS2.0. But after two days, I got no links or messages. I think it is launched only in some parts of India. I called customer service where a lady said she does not have any information on that and will inform if any such thing is introduced.

hi...i sent that sms n i immediately received the text along with the link..i clicked on the link n followed the instructions...it really works...i downloaded the app[free of cost as it says]and it works well....i live in Ahmedabad btw...

Reading that techtree link , i assume its just more bells and whistles to normal SMS , in other words USELESS .

this service is only for airtel subscribers, so does this mean that only airtel users would be able to receive these 'enhanced' messages...?if this is true, then it is of no use

I tried it last month.. its sucks with ads ... and i didnt like the interface..
