Airtel Line keeps disconnecting...

no no nooooooo no DC in between this prb just hppns once i get destination net unrechable and then i change the LINE cable all goes fine !
 
seems to me that u got some problem with the modulation type. If its taking a long time to get synctry toggling G.dmt, G.lite, T1.413 and ADSL2+try them individually or in combination.:)

Airtel offers 3 kinds of modulation in every connection (G.Dmt, G.Lite, T1.413)
Now the newest technology ADSL2+ is also available in certain areas.
Annex L & M are not available to my knowledge.
Modulation is both Modem and Central Office hardware dependent.
The CO provides the modulation and the modem chooses the most suitable one to connect with.
Google for difference between modulation types and their capabilities.:)


Dosnt the modulation get automatically selected from the isp side, how can you toggle it?
 
Tried toggling modulation, only gdmt works for me, with glite enabled snr margin went down to -12.

Precisely Changing modulation can help get better result with SNRM and attenuation. Getting -12 with G.lite indicates poor line quality.
You can either go back and use G.dmt or check the phone cables at your place, this problem could well also be from airtel's side:)

i agree with his point and this problem could also be from ISP's side so do complaint to AIRTEL :P
 
No No plz don't complain.Rather just use the G.Dmt modulation thats what airtel people would also suggest you.when i said that it could be a problem from airtel side i meant that DSLAM may not be responding well to G.lite, they would not change the DSLAM for one customer.:)
 
ok i thought tat it would be an hardware problem :Pso only i had suggested to complaint on airtel:) ok u suggest the idea of MAC so tat ur problem would be solved:whistle:
