Hi.
I've had Airtel (with a _dsl number since 2020) and this same Nokia G-2425-A (the OG) ONT since 2020 it has been great. About last month my airtel broadband cable broke because someone cut the cable off to move the electricity pole and I just got back home since internet went down since the cable breaking day. My parents got the cable restored shortly after howeover I was not home and internet never restored (even after router shows AUTH and Optic Status as UP). I have had this Nokia ONT on Bridge Mode since years (I first did it using HTML inspect element hack to remove a WAN connection profile) and secondly I put Port 3 & Port 4 on bridge mode via Network > LAN > Port 3 and 4 set to Bridge. Port 1 and 2 set to Route so I can connect a cable to port 1 of this ONT and still configure the ONT.
It was working great but now my custom router (OPNsense) firewall cannot establish a connection to airtel WAN at all in bridge mode. All settings are unchanged and literally nothing is changed. However if I go into Nokia ONT and go to Status > LAN Status I see that Port 1 is shown as UP and Port 4 (my bridge mode port) is shown as DOWN but there has been packet exchanging. I cannot for the life of me remember if Port 4 always used to show DOWN or I am pretty sure it was showing UP in bridge mode until this incident happened. See attached photo below.
Anyone know what can be done to fix this or what could be broken? I do not think it's my cable because I tried using Port 3 and 4 with multiple cables, same result. I even changed Port 4 to Route Mode from Bridge in Nokia ONT and once I did that, status page shows "UP" again, but obviously no internet since its route mode, so changing back to Bridge, ONT status changes to down.
How can I fix this? Anyone got a clue?
