Have you checked the download speed with USB port connection ? slower than ether net connection. Send an email to CC to change the modem to Beetel 220BX Ask for the installation CD. ( AIRTEL must have given a small booklet explaining how to configure different modems) You can use either the Ethernet ( if your desktop/laptop has ether net card ) or usb connection...

and i thought the 220bx beetel worked as both.

is there any airtel customer here who has a rented modem from airtel which is not that beetel 220bx?

I use beetel 100cx usb modem because it dosent need another power source, I have had no problems with it so far.
