airtel router, 5ghz frequency not disabling

I got my airtel connection up and running yesterday. I have archer C6, so i thought I will use that for 5Ghz and airtel router for 2.4ghz.

I disabled 5ghz in airtel router's setting, but it's is still getting broadcasted and can still connect to it. I am writing this post on the disabled 5ghz.

Any idea why is this happening? how do I disable 5ghz on airtel router?

1 observation :- 5ghz get's disabled when it's disabled in settings. But, after a reboot, it gets enabled again. Though it is still shown as disabled in router's settings

Which modem/ONU/router did you get and how did you disable it?

I unticked Enable wifi radio. also I have made additions into my main query.

It's likely then you won't be able to disable it, try via the Airtel App. Airtel's Sercomm ONU had the same issue.
