Guys,I need your assistance, this is the second consecutive month Airtel has sent to my address the Bill of a Person and number both of which is unknown to me . I really don't understand what is going on? They do take address proof from the person before assigning them a postpaid connection right? and they do have to verify whether the person is actually living at that address as per TRAI guidelines right? Well, there has been no verification and moreover how can someone obtain an identification showing him residing at my address? :blink3:I tried calling up the customercare, but the IVRS is asking me to enter some PIN, so I am going to write out an email to the Customer Care, Nodal Office and Appellate Authority now. Apart from this, is there anything else I need to do or someone you can suggest I should write to or contact directly to intervene?

Happened to me too, i sent an email to the person in whose name the bill was and he took care of it Another example. On my dth connection, airtel has me living in another city with some random address, beat that :P

call on that number and tell him about the incident...ask him to correct his address with airtel.

After my complaint to the Appellate Authority they contacted the person, I was assured by the Appellate Office that the person has agreed to correct his address, now it's close to 4 months and I am still receiving bills of that person to my residence! I wrote an email again to the Appellate Office on Thursday, no response till now! What if the person stops paying his bill? I'll be the one getting legal notices, next they will be sending people to my home and cause trouble to my family for extracting the bills! Guys, please tell me what shall I do now?

Nope I didn't, the Appellate Office had called him up when I had complained around 4months before, he had agreed to change then, but till now he hasn't. Do you think he will even bother to listen to me? I think he is happy the way it is going that's why he's not doing anything to set it right. I don't think he will listen when Airtel itself isn't concerned as long as the bill gets paid.

Dude what you did is right .. Contact Airtel and tell them not to send bills on his name to you .. dont even bother getting intouch with the person whose name the bills are coming in .. you dont know who the person is , he can be a nice guy or some goon so dont take any chance .. write a letter / email to airtel and tell them to correct their mistake and if possible send the bills back to airtel .. all the best !!

Yes, I did just that, after being neglected by the Nodal and Appellate Office I decided to go ahead and contact Airtel Presence, and I have been very impressed with the way they handled my problem right from the start, they were very understanding and very patient and not to mention efficient. I would say the quality of service from start till resolution has even surpassed Vodafone. I hope they keep it up :)
