i am in south ultra not sure old or newbut issue is some time i get times now SD and channels listed above and sometimes it shows error code 4

Actually no. I was surprised for a moment that Tata Sky had become cheaper.

First, for one year, this package costs 5500, which works out to 458.33 per month. The 9990 is only for a two year commitment - too much in today's date when that commitment is hard to expect even towards a mobile phone operator.

Second, and most importantly, the Mega Lite package doesn't cover all channels. To quote from the website:

The Mega Lite Pack offers all channels and services on Tata Sky except the following - Chutti TV, Gemini Comedy, Gemini Music, Gemini News, Gemini TV, Kiran TV,KTV, Sun Music, Sun News, Sun TV, Surya TV, Udaya 2, Udaya Movies, Udaya TV, Udaya Varthegalu & Topper with added benefit of free Showcase movies!

This issue can be addressed by taking the Mega Pack, which is 6000 per year, an average of 500 INR per month.

Okay if you want to go into nitty gritties -
add 4 HD channels (this itself will be 100 bucks additional on AIRTEL )
add whatever number of channels is not there in 435 bucks pack (too big a list to check one by one)
add 24 showcase movies
add Active channel
add all other channels that will be added in next 2 years for free in Tata Sky with this pack
add the cost (in case there is any) of inflation from airtel

Its easy to say Tata Sky is more expensive without adding all the benefits and services they provide
There aint no thing like FREE LUNCH ...all these services cost something

Still with all the services and much more they are cheaper by 16 bucks ....i say its GREAT DEAL

Look Clearly at the channels list but dont compare with 416. Tata Sky is lagging in many channnels in that pack of 416 itself.They dont have Big CBS prime ,love and Spark ,Movies Now count the list of Tamil,Punjabi,Kannada,Telugu,Malayalam in a pack of 435.But in Airtel 380 pack leave the above10 channels.Do tata sky gives you all the 9 sports channels in any of the base pack which is monthly.Dont say Biennial,Semi annually,Annually count the channels and then the rate,Airtel have highest number of Tamil channels after Reliance,which beacame after adddition of Captain Tv and Vasanth Tv .

Tata Sky's semi annual sports grand pack costs like 2200 that comes to almost 400 PM and the sucky part is it still doest not have all the channels in it.

It was a dream for Tata Sky now the pack rate is decreased to To 397 only.It will also have Food Food and CBS Spark which was not there in Super Ultra Pack.Now enjoy this.Annual Pack rate is 4562 and 45 days free.
