Hey guys i'm having this strange problem,my airtel username or password is not working anymore in the speed on demand login window.

Background:

From past 10 days i'm having connection problems with frequent disconnections every half an hour,so I had lodged a compliant and the technician visited my place upgraded my firmware temporarily the problem was gone. But once again it continued and i complained again this time the technician visited did some airtel line test, changed some tag in the node and told me to keep my modem switched on for a whole day if possible.

Yesterday I had the same disconnections this time I complained and the customer care tried to blame me saying I had a virus in my pc I insisted that I had installed windows just a day back,so he asked me to do some changes in the modem page like not using the @airtelbroadband.in and use the password 123456 and I had my connection back.I asked him why is my password now 123456 isn't it less secure, he assured me its ok nobody will hack it.

Now i'm unable to login to my airtel account either with my old password or this 123456 one.

So anyone have any idea whats going on and can I change this password.

Thanks.

Any Issue with login or account details has to be sorted out by Airtel CC. call them ASAP.On your own side you could try reset your LoginID and Pass the way it was originally and then restart the router manually after saving the setting.Wait for at least 30 secs to a min before you power on the router. If it still doesn't work then call CC your only option.

Since you cannot connect to Internet now
call CC for the password to re connect.
THEN

after getting connected to Internet,
check at this website.
http://ebpp.airtelworld.com
If you are not registered see at the bottom
of the page to register on line.

you will get a ( say abc404)and ( xxxxxx)from
Airtel to access this web site in future.
you can check your telephone /
broadband usage change password etc here.

you have the option to change your
original USERID's password which is now 123456

Para two:
Open the modem pages 192.168.1.1/main.html
userid admin password ; password.
See under Maintenance.
menu item :client tr_069
Uncheck this box if enabled.
Also "Soap" box. uncheck.
Now Airtel cannot access your modem remotely.

Confirm you are using "Dialer mode to connect.
( where you enter UserID and PW in computer Window )

Give feedback.
