So I opted for Airtel Black few months ago and got their "Xstream" android tv box which looks like this.

We had tataplay earlier, and I feel the channels quality is inferior on airtel inspite of having hd channels.

But the android tv box overall feels sluggish, restarts frequently when changing channels or apps and the colors are so messed up with or without hdr.

Does anyone feel the same if you are using these xstream boxes?
Let me know if you have any tips to make it better, if at all such tips exist.

I agree on sluggish and restart issue. Its sluggish in menu browsing as well as in some OTT apps. Also at least once in a day it restarts if I try to change channels rapidly.
I don't know about any specific tip, but I have uninstalled some of OTT and Google apps hoping it frees up some memory.

I have used Airtel since beginning on my 12 year old 32" Sony LCD TV, so I can't comment about Video quality. But I found it ok for most of HD channels or Youtube, Netflix, etc apps.

@SVK Inspite of having 2gb RAM, it is so sluggish. I felt the same restart issue when changing channels rapidly. When changing to hd channels, framerate becomes slow for just few seconds and then adjusts itself.
Quality is okay for hd channels. Earlier we were using Tata Sky/tataplay and I can say those channels quality is quite better compared to airtel's.
Even for apps like youtube, Apple tv etc. the colors seem way off. Do you have the same box?

@Sushubh I raised complaint twice to get it checked by the dth service guy, but he himself admits this is the best that comes on airtel. Signal quality is 70 though.

@itzmynet In about details it displays 001 box with Version as 9. Does this mean I have 001 (unlike 3.0 you mentioned) with Android 9?
@trichola I use default settings with Aspect Ration set to 16:9 and Resolution set to Auto.
