Hi Everyone,
I recently bought a new TP-Link AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Router and I wanted to make it the primary router. I contacted the airtel customer care to activate bridge mode and a technician came and activated bridge mode on my airtel router on LAN 4 port. (dont know the model of this router, added a photo if anyone wants to know)

I tried a PPPoE connection both from laptop and my router, but unable to connect. I think they have either not started bridge mode or done something else because I compared my settings to other people on the forum but they are different.

The credentials i have used for PPPoE are - {dsl_no}_wifi@airtelbroadband.in, {account no.} (these were given to my by airtel customer care)

I have added pictures on google Photos for my airtel router settings. Please help

Thanks

No, I couldnt find how to set VLAN no. in PPPoE. Added a photo in the above link as well of my AX5400 settings.

Bro, go to VLAN/IPTV section of the Advanced --> Network settings of the TP-Link, enable Internet VLAN and put 100 there and check.

No need to update vlan id in the AX5400, they have already set it to 100 on the bridge mode. Please make sure you are using correct credentials for username and password and AX5400 is connected to Lan 4 port

It is connected to the LAN 4 port and checked with customer care. I entered the uid/pwd given by them (they were the default ones only)

If you have a laptop plug it into LAN port 4, set up a dial up internet connection in Windows with your user ID and password and check if it works. If it does not then your Airtel ONT has not been switched to bridged mode yet from the backend. Contact 121 and have them register a complaint.

Also, when your Airtel ONT is in bridged mode you do not need to add any VLAN ID in your TP-Link router WAN PPPoE connection.

Then I think it might be because of the wrong settings for the bridge mode.
The service option should be selected as 'Internet' instead of the 'OTHER' and also the bridge mode should be selected as 'IP_Bridged'

Please contact service engineer assigned and ask him to make those necessary changes
