After some emails and many phone calls to CC, Airtel confirmed bridge mode is activated. ZTE ONT - wifi stopped and they said LAN4 is enabled for bridge mode. I m using GL.inet router (Flint2) for creating PPPoE connection. But connection is not established. Very strange to see airtel technicians are so dumb they dont understand basic questions. Like how username is entered in PPPoE mode. Do we enter username with @airtelbroadband.in or only number or with number_wifi.

Do we enter VLAN and MTU values? Backend team says bridge mode is completed. Rest you have to do from your side.

When I entered Airtel ZTE ONT login I see below screens: ZTE Airtel Settings

@tr1k0N4 or community members can check if bridge is really enabled or not? And if ONT device is really getting internet from Airtel.

I am also using GL.iNet GL-MT6000 (Flint 2) router but I am running vanilla OpenWrt 24.10.4, not GL.iNet's Factory Firmware.

PPPoE Password: Account / Customer Number in your bill statement

No WAN side VLAN tagging on your Router (Flint 2).

No need to manually set MTU in vanilla OpenWrt, automatically set to 1480 bytes.
Not sure about GL.iNet's firmware though.
If you have to manually set MTU value, enter 1480 (bytes).

After making the config changes in your Flint 2 router, you may have to power cycle both the ZTE ONT and Flint 2 router for the config to properly take effect.

Thanks for the revert. From the screenshots of my zte router gui wan page (link in my previous reply) you can confirm me if my bridge mode is successfully completed by airtel or not?

First screenshot shows connection named "WAN-TR069_INTERNET" as disabled.

In the bottom portion of first screenshot there is another connection named "Bridge".
Is that "Bridge" connection enabled or not? If it is enabled, then I think Bridge Mode should be working.

Yes bridge mode is enabled. Check image 2 also same link - i am confused to see type as routing should it not be bridge? What does image 2 understands as?

2nd Image doesn't show "Bridge" connection config.
It shows only the disabled "WAN-TR069_INTERNET" connection config.

Recently i noticed, all the airtel routers has default four entries, 1. for PPPoE (WAN_TR069_INTERNET), 2. for Static IP config, 3. for Static VOIP config, 4. for Bridge mode. So based on the request we make, they disable other entries and enable the one needed. For eg, if its static ip, they will disable 1, 4 and enable 2 and configure the ip there. In case bridge mode, they disable 1,2 and enable 4th entry.

so in your case, they disabled entry related to PPPoE and last entry for bridge may be enabled. you did not share the complete screenshot of 4th entry.

Yes bridge mode is enabled in 4th entry. But since yesterday i m not able to complete PPPoE login in my router. Any other settings to be changed in ont router which airtel might have missed? They say bridge mode is enabled. I checked in port binding option lan4 in bridge mode is not on, should i on it and save settings?
