Airtel Xstream fiber expanding to Kottayam

Yeah I have seen them digging one main road near to my residence In fact they were not digging the road itself but only the footpath portion, but how they are implementing to each household is still a confusion, but the customer rep is confident that they will surely expand to all areas

Jio expansion in my area was done around Jan 2019, they literally did a 4-5km stretch on the main road next to my house in 2 nights.

Btw, I’m at my parents apartment in Ekm right now. They have an xstream connection, not seeing the best latency right now. Lmk if you want me to run any ping tests.

Of course I would love to know about their peering and alll , how about their browsing speeds and all comparing it with jiofiber . Did they have any local caches here in kerala ? How s ur overall experience using it ?

Yeah Infact I have seen it very closely, and it has the name bharati airtel on it. And also on that cable roller thing also

It will be airtel v fiber which is in available ernakulam for some years ,I think its capable of speeds upto 100 or 300mbps not more, its an upgradation to vdsl technology.

@Nitin nope.. my city is not that much big one ,airtel v fiber is availble in kannor kozhikode kochi only I think ,I dont know for sure.

Is it? I’m not sure, they have a 100mbps connection with the 3.3TB FUP so I assumed it was xstream.

It has terrible latency btw. Tried a number of services.

No sign of jio here anywhere ,no cable laying nothing at all . I will not expect them atleast for an year ,maybe ambani is having some cash crunch . There 4g fiber cables are already there but I think they will not use it for their gigafiber.
