also I think it will reduce airflow drastically?

this is an air quality monitor

if you are asking about their product that is supposed to be placed above split acs? i wouldn't recommend it personally. first it is stupid to run ac even in fan mode in winters. and yes, it would reduce air flow and might actually damage the ac.
