Amazon India charging delivery fee on prime labeled items on prime accounts? (Update: Not yet lol)

I have very less customer support experience but the last one I remember with Amazon was about add-on subscription on primevideo. And I connected after midnight via the desktop site. I subscribed to fancode and then decided to cancel within a few hours but there was no cancel option. The customer support agent removed the subscription and got the money later on my bank account.

Try to contact support via the website again.

heh. i do not think you can connect with a human if you try to access customer support in app or website directly for a while now. Amazon on x create time limited links that lets you talk to a human directly.

The last customer support chat I mentioned was last year. And it was definitely human, I hope, who cancelled the add-on and refunded me. Or maybe the AI fooled me. lol

nah. their chat support was great. might still be great if one gets lucky. but overall, the support is essentially non-existent these days.

honestly, i do not order anything from Amazon that i would likely end up returning. i order knowing that i would be stuck with the product and it would most likely be used or damaged. it is this bad. this is also why i end up ordering from their NOW store over regular store because I just assume that Now would have unused items compared to their warehouses lol. the thing today did not even require any interaction with their chat support. amazonhelp is a global account and appears to be just sending people to custom links to talk to chat support. a localized support that actually wanted to help could have answered the query directly. saying that prime products are still free to deliver and the charge i was seeing was rush delivery specific. would have been fast and easy. but that's not how things work anymore.

The only way to reach a human is to click for Kindle reader support, click something else and then click continue to customer service. The chat and phone options will show there. If you choose chat, it will continue using bot unless you specify clearly that u want to talk to a human. This is Amazon support in 2026

Yeah, they could have resolved or responded over x but I guess they want to create tickets to keep track of every issue which is good in a way unless there is some issue like the upload failure you had.

NO ONE GIVES A SHIT AT Amazon ANYMORE LOL.

Anyways, I am more than happy with how Ikea handle things. Shipping is not free. But there is a 365 day return policy that applies to most things? There is a charge for pickup from home. They might deduct extra if item is not in great shape or something. I am sure at one stage they would also reject the returned item, but I haven’t looked into it thoroughly. At least they are not making shitty claims of free delivery, free returns, easy return policy. I am sure they would also eventually get Indianized and change policy to counter local scam culture. But I am ok with it so far. I ordered a pillow. I used it for two days. Found it to be too soft. I applied for return. I paid the return delivery fee. And now I wait for them to inspect it and issue a credit. I am ok with this. Amazon being an open marketplace is just too much pain. And open to a lot of abuse. Which has basically made them hopeless for anything that is not exclusively available through them.

ps. i should mention here that i kept the pillow in doubled layers of covers to prevent as much damage or dust as possible. i think it was pretty untouched when i packed it back in the box. not the best option but it was an expensive pillow and it was not going to be used at home. i kept the second pillow i ordered. it is not perfect but it has been the most usable so far. hunt for the perfect pillow continues however.
