Recently I ordered Panasonic rechargeable AAA batteries. Packing done in brown paper was very compact, could easily fit in shirt pocket.

The weighing scale I bought came only in the original Omron box nothing g else. Even that was battered & broken. Same for the Brother printer, there atleast the original packaging was good so it survived.

Boxed items coming without outer packaging is there for a while now. This tea bag would have been useless with a tiny cut!

My initial BP monitor and Dettol handwash brought in January came without packing. On raising the issue, I was told that it was done to implement plastic-free packaging. The replacement I got was in proper carton.

If they are going to do this, how are we supposed to collect all the junk around the house? We need their cartons/boxes just like we need newspapers to prevent dust from falling on stuff during cleaning.

Think of the cats. And school projects that use their boxes lol.

Thankfully both the tea and detergent pods box seems to be infact.

Any environmental damage they prevented by not using boxes would be nullified multiple times if they had to send a replacement.

People complaining to Amazon about excessive packaging causing environmental damage should buy local.
