Please Note: All Mobile phones that are fulfilled by Amazon, purchased on or after 7th February 2016, will have a replacement only policy. Mobile phone items that are fulfilled by Amazon will no longer be eligible for refunds. In case you have received a defective or a damaged mobile phone, you will be eligible for a free replacement.

Guess they had enough.

You mean, if "you no longer need the item" ? Unfortunately the page says "Not Eligible" for a return.

Amazon.in Help: About Our Returns Policies

Earlier it had a 10 day window and used to say "Items that you no longer need must be returned in new and unopened condition with all the original packing, tags, inbox literature, warranty/ guarantee card, freebies and accessories including keys, straps and locks intact."

I ordered a HDMI cable few hours ago with next day delivery. Realized later that I did not need one as friend had a spare. Tried to cancel. Couldn't as it had been dispatched. Thankfully the lady on the chat said she would take care of it.

Amazon has policies which reflect the culture in the market it operates this is definitely indians taking advantage of amazon

NCDRC issues notice to Amazon in complaint against Easy Return Policy

He has, therefore sought for a direction to be issued to Amazon to refund Rs. 9119, the amount spent by him for purchasing the mobile phone. He has also sought for imposition of punitive damages on Amazon to the extent of Rs. 743 crore, which is the amount spent by Amazon for advertising their Easy Return Policy.
