Correct, don't trust after warranty of Amazon, Marq, vu and likes.
I have purchased VoltasAC, they offer 5 yrs comprehensive warranty. Low initial cost and absolutely low maintenance cost for me.
We had a 55" SamsungTV that stopped working after 18 months. Samsung were asking for 45k to repair it. It was cheaper to dispose it and get a Sanyo one
It's a shame retailers don't try to offer extended warranties to try to distinguish themselves from Amazon/Flipkart
Here in the UK, the company I bought my TV from offers a 6 year warranty on all TVs they sell, so even though it was slightly more expensive than on Amazon, the warranty makes up for it
Had a similar experience with a SamsungTV. Stopped working after 18 months or so. Samsung asked for 80k to repair it. Got it repaired for around 40k from a locally known technician.
Now using Marq by Flipkart. Pretty happy with it. It would be interesting to see whether Amazon offer the TVs in all screen sizes.
