I have suggested Moto G but the person is not willing to spend more than Rs. 10,000.I have asked for other details like if expandable memory or removable battery are required. For now, just seeking good phones that are available below Rs. 10,000. Cheers.

lol. do not add to the confusion. i am looking for recommendations here. not running a search query based on parameters!

I would suggest Q800 X edition or Q700i as both feature decent cameras along with run-of-the-mill quad cores :) Also there's no problem of low internal storage as mentioned in other thread. But these phones are almost guaranteed to not get the taste of kitkat.
Better convince him for Moto G :D However OS is not that much of a parameter while selecting a device.

well. when you are going to ask someone like me for a phone recommendation, you would put your criterias at a priority. :)

I think they have wiped out the price from the listing.
Also, I have learned that if a person is hell bent on buying Shamsung shite, let him go to hell. Back off. And be rest assured that he'll be flaunting the same with a flip cover in a few days time!

Galaxy S Duos 2 is not a bad choice! Given that the predecessor suffered with the common android lagging issue due to single core processor, but Samsung has updated the CPU to dual core. Hence for the smartphone muggles who want budget oriented trusted brand phones then S Duos 2 is really the way to go.
Now on second thought, Lumia 525 isn't that bad. With spectacular GUI, it might be something your friend might be interested to, if he's willing to absorb few hiccups of WP8.
