The ‘Freedom fighters’ of the internet, Anonymous, started Operation India (#Opindia) a few days ago as a protest in response to internet censorship in India. During the course of this protest, Anonymous have taken down nearly 35 websites of the Government and other unlawful private organisations through DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) attacks. However, they have been unable to awaken the Government. As a result, they have announced street protests on the 9th of June, which is a deadline for the Government to act upon and correct their deeds.
Here is a press release by OpIndia about Street Protest-
Protest will start at 3PM IST in all cities.OpIndia members also told that they oppose the strike called on 31st and see it as an attack On the people. If you want a free, uncensored internet please join to the street protest.
So lemme get this straight..
In India, where internet penetration is so low that government doesn't even care how many of its own sites get hacked, where government attacks and arrests people like Anna and Ramdev for protesting against corruption using police without any fear, these script kiddies at Anonymous expect nerds to organize protests wearing
masks which scream "arrest me, I must be involved in hacking your sites, rip out my hard disk and see how many torrents I downloaded for Reliance and throw me in jail under false charges with fine of 1 million rupees"?
Yeah sure, that's going to happen.
