Hello,

We get water from the city pipelines but since many people here are using water motors, water pressure had been getting lower and lower. And nowadays, it comes only for a few minutes until everyone turns on their motor. And we get it later if some of them have turned it off. And since water supply is only from 7 AM to 9 AM, we can't really fill much.

I did complained about this to the Nagar Neegam but they are just ignoring it. So, I am thinking of getting a pressure pump which can help us in this situation.

I'll be going to a few shop today but I was looking for some suggestions regarding this. I don't know if water pump can actually help or not. And if it can, what kind of water pump do I need?

Anyone of you have any idea about this?

A pressure pump can help but you need to match its output with your requirement. There are many brands and output capacity pumps in the market you will need to check online for their specs or go to the store.

For e.g. I use a Grundfos pressure pump for my washing machine even though it may not need one since with the pump I am assured the pressure remains constant and at equal to or more than the specified lph specified.

@Chip Hmm, I am finding it difficult to choose one from my situation, since most people use it for water tank. I'll be visiting a shop soon and will see what kind of motor would suit my requirements.

I am assuming you need to fill in underground tank and officially using motor is not allowed but everyone is using then there is no option other than to install one. if it is just or row house/bungalow then opt for lower HP 0.5 should be good. Remember low power motor will be beneficial if your house is at middle or near starting point. if yours falls at end then i cannot recommend anything, probably you need to fight with your nagar nigam. Also do enquire what capacity of motor other people are installing.
