A friend of mine was planning to go for it as his residential connection since it costs just the same, is it feasible? Has anyone tried it? Is it worth it?
It seems he'd be the sole user, and isn't really interested in OTT options, since Jio Postpaid give all the reasonable selections.

The only benefit seems to be that there is no 3.3TB limit there. Other than that it's same as residential connections

For higher plans static ip n parallel ringing is included.

@mikrotik and @igloo are you guys aware of the procedure and docs required to convert a home to a SOHO connection? I may be interested for my plan. That unlimited data and Google accounts are tempting.

I am not sure. They have undergone billing software switch. So it might be possible, it might not be. Try with your local technicians.

Better get a new connection. Airtel billing is currently chaos.
Most of support level guys won't have an idea.

They need Business PAN card or GST no. for that establishment

So yeah we cannot get Unlimited data without a business PAN card. You can try Excitel though.

This is Tata offering via their commercial arm. They have an unlimited 100 Mbps plan. It is 32.4 TB for 30 days if it is run 24/7 theoretically. I think it might help your friend. The upload is only 5Mbps though. Not useful for uploads

Note:- Its not fiber. If we look at everything then yeah its okay, not great
