Anyone facing slow speed on International servers??

Currently on 100Mbps 750GB plan, for Mumbai Server I am getting around 90Mbps. However issue start when I want to download from the International server, for example, right now I am downloading PyTorch with a max speed of 2MegaBytes instead of ~9MegaBytes. If I do a speed test to Singapore server same thing Download speed is around 20-30Mbps while the upload is going till 86Mbps. Is it just I or everyone is facing this issue?

And can someone suggest good ONT (preferably non-Chinese)
Will BSNL change it for free without any reason(upgrade to gigabit ethernet, maybe)? (it's on rent)

Can anyone give information if Dropbox has a peering in any India interconnects ? Google Drive gives bad speeds here . There is some form of throttle I guess . Uploads are damn slow
Ping to Dropbox is 300 ms . I doubt if they have local presence

Yikes, mine is going to Singapore too but with 80ms ping over TATA
Around same PL too but they could be dropping packets to prevent attacks.

@mr.blue I have the exact same issue . When I download from GDrive I get full speeds (95-100 mbps) but speedtest to local and international servers are awful (15mbps down and 20 mbps up ) . During midnight I get full download and upload speeds.

If u get full speeds at midnight then its definitely sounding like congestion.

@deltaechov yes for some reason multi threaded downloads are able to reach a lot of speed. But still not in all servers. Even with 32 threads some servers just never go more than 2-3 MBps.

But then there's Google Drive and other Google servers like Play store where single threaded speed is also 11 MBps (90 Mbps).

Its really strange because I never get full 100 Mbps except on torrenting (I personally dont, my friends do) and Google Drive.

How do I know if LCO is limiting speed only with non-peered networks? I don't think LCO would even understand peered/non-peered stuff so probably he isn't applying speed limit although it may be possible that single TCP connection speed is limited. Then again, how does one explain full speed downloads from Google Drive without using IDM!

BSNL doesn't care about international server speeds they only care for their internal network. Also, if you have a 100 Mbps connection it will be shared with other 50 people i.e contention ratio. For home use, it is 1:50. Hence if all 50 people start downloading at the same time you'll get 2Mbps max. However, ISP also does load balancing (not everyone uses at the same time), one link might be congested and the other isn't (also include peering). The only thing you can do is ask for better routing to a specific server.

Also, check ping to 1.1.1.1, when I had this speed issue, latency to 1.1.1.1 was high.

I get around 49-50ms to the IP you've mentioned with no packet loss.
