I am from Hisar, Haryana and currently using Airtel Xstream Fiber and its just bad. Looking for an ISP to switch to and saw BSNL's upcoming plans and planning to get it installed.
How's the services and what is the complaint/ticket resolution time?

Hello @iYuvrajMehta
Simply put my words to you.

I would recommend you to visit your nearby BSNL Exchange and get some details regarding them.
Take care of these few points before taking any Connection.

1. Get contact with someone in your Locality who got BSNL FTTH (try to get 2 - 3 contact details) & Give them visit + perform some basic tests which you think will be required to be done. (Would prefer to do Speed, Latency, Jitter & IP Tracert )

2. BSNL usually have 2 - 3 Vendors at a particular location/Area. Get there details and know which one is best and OPT for that Vendor. Choose Best Vendor which provide better service. (You can get info. regarding the vendors used by above people through BSNL Exchange Customer Care)

3. Plan Selection should be done on your Usage-Type. Try to get your Connection directly through BSNL Exchange as it will not cost additional money (like wiring) and Just, It will cost you for your 2.4Ghz or 5GHZ or 6GHZ Router. (I've 6GHZ Router). If you don't want to pay additional-money. If wiring is not available in your area? Just request them to deploy it and they will try to find a solution for it. (Vendors take money but BSNL Doesn't take money for that).

4. After Installation, Perform all major tests whatever you want to do and make sure they are all working smoothly. If you face any issue after installation, Technical team (whichever came to install) will fix it on-the-spot.

I've been using BSNL Fiber since 2020 and never faced any issues like Jitter, Latency or Speed. (1 - 2 times down in year due to Landslides or some natural calamities but got restored in under 3 days)
So yeah, You can try first 2 points and if you got satisfied? Opt for it and enjoy surfing through internet.

Here in my area (Himachal Pradesh), bsnl is offering free installation including the ont (5ghz one if the plan opted is 799 or above), as they are shifting all analog landline connections to fiber. So, its better to check with the bsnl officials.

@Protector nice to know that!!
On my old connection, i had to get my own ont. But now they are offering this free installation by converting my landlines to fiber, and as i wanted to retain these landlines, i have closed the old connection.

Personally, I rate bsnl fiber better than jiofiber.

hii @gayad
I decided to stick with airtel fiber as BSNL had 8-10% data packet loss and weird usage monitoring issues told by the SDO from BSNL office near Nagori Gate.
Airtel seems to be working fine now, I got my plan downgraded from 200mbps to 100mbps as Airtel's hardware isn't good enough to handle the 200mbps bandwidth under load, the router used to overheat upto 89 degrees Celsius and restart.
100mbps seems to be the sweet spot now, gets the job done :P
