Hi just for yesterday and today (I've Airtel broadband) the downloading of apps/apps update from the Apple appstore has been extremely slow!

Even to download 6-7 mb is taking 30 minutes or more. I have 16mbps plan.

Is there anyone else with Airtel broadband who is having the same issue? Kindly assist. Thanks!

Yup! Bharti must be negotiating with Apple to come closer and peer with them. Or there must be an Android sympathiser in Bharti. How else can one explain the broadband streaming videos but not download a few simple apps!

Anyone have any idea what to do? My last option is to call Airtel and complain :(
Just switched to 3G to download my app updates and then went back to wifi for using the apps!
If possible talk to Gopal Vittal bharti's chief exec. No point talking to helpless call centre kids.

Aha! Just realized. Apps download from iTunes where you also download music. Bharti making it difficult so that you switch to their miserable Wynk :) so much for net neutrality

I am also facing the same issues with Airtel broadband.
It works fine with Tata broadband in my office.
iPad iPhone and Mac book are not able to download or update any app from AppStore on Airtel Broadband connection.
I called the Airtel team as per them the broadband is working fine and they are not able to understand this issue.
I took support from Apple escalation team . They have captured some incident but will only tell me the cause after a day.
I myself got a work around but it is not a permanent solution. You can install a free VPN APP from AppStore . Connect the VPN and then you will be able to download apps at earlier speed.

Tunnelbear should work as well. I guess Airtel's routing with Apple servers are messed up these days.

well. you cannot do much. it is pretty much impossible to contact the relevant person(s) at airtel or Apple to explain this routing problem to them.
it is very likely that the problem would get resolved in a day or two. at max a week as more and more complaints are going to be filed by consumers.
