Apple charges extra just for OS(Operating system) because Hardware wise they are actually behind the market and yet I have seen more people with(like 10 times more) iPhones than genuine windows lol.

You already know that contract system is almost dead throughout the world. Instead Carriers are coming out with rent based plans or outright purchase. Even Apple has come out with rental schemes.

exactly. i am surprised it's not launched in india already. 8000 bucks per month gets you the latest iPhone plus x number of calls, y number of texts and z GBs of data per month. it could easily get them a large number of subscribers even in a market like india.

I doubt that because the official price of iPhone 6 16GB variant is Rs. 52,000. The launch price last year was Rs. 53,500 which was increased to Rs. 56,000 after this year's budget. So, they've officially decreased the price of last year's iPhone by only Rs. 4000. You could get them cheaper on online sites but those are not the official prices.

BTW, the prices of iPhone 6s and 6s plus were increased everywhere except in USA.
