1) For me all applications work with Vodafone Live ...but i have read many people on the forum telling that Live is only for WAP sites and for applications etc you need Vodafone Mobile connect. So i guess you need to check and get vodafone connect to use 3G for applications2) Vodafone had some bugs for 3G activation ...2 friends of mine got the same sms " your phone is not 3G compatible" ...keep trying ...it will work. If it still does not ...put your sim in some other phone ..activate 3G and then change the phone (this worked for my friends when i put their sim in my phone)3) Vodafone TV is right now only for selected OS/Handsets (e.g. It works on Symbian, Blackberry - but not on android Galaxy S )

3G has activated on my phone. However, the APN settings were accidentally deleted by myself. How do I get the 3G settings back? If I SMS ACT 3G to 144 (since prepaid number), it says that 3G is already active. How do I get 3G settings as an active 3G user?

For Nokia & Sony Ericsson phone, find out your handset IMEI number, by pressing *#06# on the phone’s standby screen or by checking the same from phone’s body panel under the battery bay.
The IMEI number may be of 15 or 16 digits - identify the first 15digits and send an sms to 52586 with text as S < space >1st 15 digits of the IMEI number
After sending the above sms, send “VMC” as an sms to 52586 to get the OTA settings, and save the setting you receive.
If you do not have a Nokia or Sony Ericsson phone, you´ll need to set your phone manually with these details:

Vodafone Mobile Connect: Internet through Mobile Phone as Modem | Delhi

way as mentioned in vodafone site

SE software should also do it for you when connected by USB/Bluetooth

Vodafone has changed the process a little bit (atleast here in Mumbai) - now you dont need to figure out your IMEI number.
All you need is to send VL or VMC to 52586 and they will figure out your IMEI/Handset make and send you the GPRS settings.

Thanks tech_help. Got it fixed. How do I use my phone as a modem for browsing the internet using Vodafone VMC? I currently use MTNL Triband and set up a second connection as a dial-up connection, using the instructions within the link:

Vodafone Mobile Connect: Internet through Mobile Phone as Modem | Mumbai

My phone SE W902 is of course 3G and has a tethering option.
Few tips to remember
1) Just ensure you have VMC activated on your phone (Vodafone Live will not work for browsing from PC)
2) Windows drivers for USB modem should be installed
3) DO not set any proxy

rest is already explained in the link ...if you get stuck at any particular step ...let us know ..we can guide you.

Huh? You can connect through Vodafone Live too. Just enter the proxy settings in the browser, works on 3G as well it's just that it'll be a charged at 10p/10KB.

proxy - 10.10.1.100
Port - 9401 ??

Let me test ...my idea was that Vodafone Live is only for browsing on mobile ..not tethering to PC.
