@Rickysin same here, getting speeds of 120-125 Mbps on multiple +orren+s download, single ones cap out at 4 MBps. All on cloudflare dns.
Don't know what to make out of this..

Which torrent software you use? Check if it has a setting to control numbers of connections per torrent or per server and try adjust them higher.

One thing to note is that many torrent seeders check if you are uploading at high speed and if not then they also throttling their speed to you.

Usually open source linux ISO of recent releases do not have this issue so try various such sources.

And they should be fairly recent releases so instead of Ubuntu 20.04 try version 21.04 for example.

@vishalrao I use Utorrent. So under preferences--bandwidth--Number of Connections, I have changed "Global maximum number of connections" from 200 to 500. I hope, this is what you meant by "control numbers of connections per torrent."
Now trying Default upload/download and trying to download ubuntu 21.04. Will revert back.
One thing I observed while downloading previous was that, my "peers" was always zero. I didn't understand why this was happening. One torrent, I can understand, 4-5 torrents, something's amiss.

Are there any other options for number of connections? Increase those too.

Note that some seeders and peers might actively block connections from certain torrent brand so definitely try with some better ones like qbittorrent.

You guys can try port forwarding, it makes you connectable and can increase speed (if you are not already maxing out the number of allowed connections).

I use seedbox and download from it at full 300 Mbps https download. It’s €7 per month. seedhost.eu

@vishalrao use utorrent with all settings maxed out for best speed. Tried with multiple torrents with good seeders and even set upload speed to max and port forwarding as well.

Still low speed with single torrent. Though with multiple torrents i get full speed parallelly. So it is airtel which is limiting the speed

@Rickysin I have increased the number of connections and peers to 700 and 80 respectively in Utorrent and now get speeds upto 13-14 MBps on single torrent. Still somewhat better than what I was getting earlier.
Forgot to update this thread.. also need to try with qbittorrent.
