@tr1k0N4
My IP Phone is Grandstream. I have tried with VSOL and TP-Link G3
VSOL has an internet and other option for service type.
With G3 i tried tagging the traffic from switch and in it the incoming works but not the outgoing.
The result is same in both cases - outgoing not working.
If I use Pfsense then with siproxd I am able to get outgoing working but then incoming doesn't work for some reason.
Will try NAT Traversal on IP Phone.
@whopiyush Will let you know once I get this working.
But I had difficulty in setting up a simple Softphone, let alone Asterisk with Routing Rules. So, I'm making this post to serve as an exhaustive guide. (Which also helps me set it up).
I have tried MicroSIP and Zoiper, neither of them worked. "rj.ims.airtel.in" not pingable from pc => Throws Error "Ping request could not find host rj.ims.airtel.in. Please check the name and try again."
And if you are going to use Zoiper on PC, you also have to edit the hosts file and add an entry so that rj.ims.airtel.in resolves to 10.5.109.117 or 10.5.109.101
@tr1k0N4 . I have not added rj.ims.airtel.in to resolve to 10.5.109.117 or 10.5.109.101. But before doing that, I'm not able to ping either of the IPs. So, resolution to the IP or no resolution doesn't matter.
Even if I don't use the domain, and use the IPs directly in MicroSIP, MicroSIP is not able to connect to the server. => Request Timed Out
