automatic plan change , deposit added ? or not ?

when opting for 449 plan or any other lower plans which is for 6 mons then automatically it changes to the basic 499 plan , does it take 499 deposit ? i see some threads saying when changing plan , it takes the plan rent as deposit again . if anyone have ideas about this or to avoid this , please input your views, thank you .
