Avengers: Doomsday (2026)

MCU is trying it's best to get back in the game. They are so desperate. We have to understand this. They lost their way with this saga. They planned so many projects and shelved more than half of them because they know that it's not gonna work. They shelved the whole Kang story into a dumpster. Marvel literally went into panic mode when all the films were failing at the box office and they need something big to get the hype up and to get back on the road again. So, finally this is what they agreed on and thought it be best to bring jr back. It makes sense. I honestly don't know what kind of backstory they will cook for tony stark as doctor doom.
 
That's what I meant. After being Hero for over decade, why should have he returned as Villan.
 
So many actors before have done it. Henry Cavil played an amazing villain in MI 6. SRK did it multiple times. Why shouldn't he?

Also looks like he is being paid significantly more than $80mn for this movie. And his one condition for return was that Russo brothers will direct it.

His fee comes with perks including private jet travel(fuck him for that), multiple trailers probably for his entire team and private security.

Looks like he will block approx 50% of the movie budget. It better be good or Marvel executives will have a heart attack and die. Which would also be good for the world. Who's to say.
 
As someone was saying online, he is so popular that it will be funny if people end up cheering for him (I..e Doom) instead of rooting for Avengers at a Thanos snap like event.

It's already been witnessed in Tamil Cinema. The mass hero Ajith is a proper villain in the movie and people cheer for him even though he betrays the heroine, kills people and loots away crores.

It is a messed up world. Though the Tamil movie intentionally was written that way. But here it could be unintentional.
 
I think it's different with Hollywood movies. Also, he will be a villain in the Avengers movies. Had it been the Fantastic Four, then you could say that.

In other news, Russo Brothers will get paid $80 mn to direct both the Avengers movies plus bonuses if they make more than $750 mn and $1bn on each film.

So let's see. Between RDJ and Russos, approx $180mn is blocked. So one can argue that the VFX will have to be designed by people who use MS Paint and Canva. Good luck to us.
