There is one for Sify too, i dunno if it is hidden or visible to all now, i can see it though.
i guess it is visble to all.Even i can see it.

Ok guys its all for Prathap to decide as already posted by Sushubh...............

Just my last suggestion:

Since there would not be more than 50 members for the backroom, why not the Admin ask people to send PM requesting access to backroom and then manually giving access to their id's.

This would be a one time extra task for our busy admin's but it would make the backroom more useful and free from SPAM/N00bs..................

^hmm, that's hell lotta work for the admin with people begging all the time for access. Though it would be for the good

Criteria has already been decided, end of story :) (was decided some days ago which was when you all got access)

We have more than a couple of conditions to allow for access, and these wont be revealed here, just to ensure that the public or ISP employees won't be able to then manipulate it (thats right, our forum is growing in significance atleast in the eyes of a few people who matter and we need to take steps!).

Suffice to say that those who are actually active on the forum and those to whom the backroom makes sense, are the ones who'll be trusted and get access automatically. Just to give give an idea of what the criteria could be.... The forum has more than 12,000 user accounts, of which 47 people have got access to the backroom at the moment.

Yes, number of posts is a factor but not the only one. Moreover, making even just 10-20 junk posts would be difficult on here, because (I hope) we do have many watchful people on here who won't let that happen, leading to inappropriate people being stopped in their tracks.

EDIT: By now there is too much info (if in very vague terms, but still !) being bandied about, and this topic has no business being accessible to public; moving to backroom.

^^^Fair Enough. The way it should be! :)Criteria should not be disclosed as rightly quoted by you that ISP employees may otherwise manipulate to gain access.
