Isn't Hikvision still in bed with Prama and similarly HI-FOCUS with UNV chinese manufacturer? They only made assembly line in India to give our govt an illusion just like what Boat earphone did lol

Is this happening because US hacked into IRAN’s CCTVs ?

Or

Just to sell reliance/adani cctvs in the market lol

Tbh CP PLUS isn't owned by these giants, but this govt move was already in the books and is a very welcome step. Also know that no electronic hardware is safe its its connected to the network , until properly air gapped but well that too can be forced open

How is this a welcome step?

My cp plus cctv hangs a lot and its app is crap as well.

On otherhand hikvision cctvs work flawlessly and their app is super smooth.

Hikvision is surely an amazing product but its servers are in china, they are monitoring every data and pose security risks or so reported by our govt. And we all know how much say we got as consumers living in india.
