i mean how does banning work? they are going to ask all email providers accessible in india to not accept mails from protonmail or something lol?

going after encrypted email is like going after the https protocol.

Lol, that is impossible to implement. They will just get the app removed from the Play Stores and ask the ISPs to block the domain. Problem solved. The only real solution is to ask ProtonMail to shut down their operations so Indians can live in peace.

what happens when they discover pgp. i have never understood it but lol. any email service can be used to send and receive encrypted emails.

PGP? Let them discover first that ProtonMail is not the only encrypted email provider in the world. What next? Tuta? Mailbox? Fastmail? Mailfence? The government can then come up with its mail service and link it with aadhar.
