Band 40 and Band 30 on 2300Mhz (ZTE Axon 7 Jio compatibility)

Hello there!

I'm planning to buy ZTE Axon 7 to be brought from USA to India by my friend. Before I tell him to go ahead, I have some doubts to clear.
GSMArena shows USA variant having all the required bands except band 40 however it has band 30 on 2300Mhz and global/EU variant shows band 40 on 2300. How is 2300Mhz is considered band 30 in USA and band 40 for rest of the world?

Personally, I wouldn't take the chance of getting this device from the US for band compat even if somebody "confirms" that this model will work fine with Indian band40 2300mhz and Jio VoLTE

Thank you @vishalrao for your reply. Was planning to buy it but considering 6 other people telling me not to take the risk I'll abort Axon 7
Well then can anyone suggest any phone with excellent developer backing along the lines of OnePlus 3 WITH expandable storage?

Unfortunately no otger phone has good dev support (Aosp based) only OnePlus and Nexus. Third choice would be Sony Overpriced phone.

zte axon 7 supports most of the networks in india ,including jio but volte doent get activated which can be compensated by using the jio4gcalling app,my brother has an axon 7 n i set it up for him
