Du Meter is d best one..............it has nice interface plus it provides every feature....tat a broadband user may wnt.....including stopwatch....which i think is very usefulll i Can get d exact traffic of session by du meter stopwatch.....

I had a BSNL broadband connection HOME 250 Plan. My net usage is limited. I want to log all the net traffic. i installed Tautology Bandwidth Meter. The problem with this software is that it can monitor the traffic of LAN interface correctly. But it was unable to LOG the WAN interface. Because the WAN interface is created when you are connected to the internet and released when you disconnect. So for that period it can monitor the bandwidth but it doesn't shows it in the log when you disconnect it. Please suggests me some other software which can also log WAN interfaces.

Because the WAN interface is created when you are connected to the internet and released when you disconnect.

1.Activate Tautology BEFORE you get connected.
Note Total.
2. Activate Tautology meter AFTER you get connected to Internet.( Do not open any browser )
Note Total.
3. Use Tweakdun 2.2 for comparison .

Anyone knows as flexible as du or bwmeter for Linux? I use gkrellm but want more flexible logs in terms of hourly, include exclude hour range, or other features on Linux.

^^^ use "vnstat"

Thanks but am looking for a more integrated, desktop based tool like gkrellm, dwmeter etc. vnstat is console based and the only GUI available is Web based so install in web server, ahh too much for logging.
