BB plan change- how long? How to know it worked?

Today I applied at Bsnl to change my BB plan from home ul 1350 to 8mbps 2799. They told it will happen soon and asked me to check data.Bsnl.in to see when my plan gets changed. But at data.Bsnl.in I can't find the plan name listed in my details.Just wanted to know .. How long does the plan change take? Think some plans change only will happen to the end of the month?Also how to be sure when plan got changed? An easy answer will be to note the speed change... Ha ha.. But Bsnl may just change my plan without increasing speed as they did on ul1350 plan!

Your plan change will be effective from the 1st of next month. Keep on checking "Track your portal order" link on BSNL Portal. When your new plan gets activated, it will show in this as provisioned.

You had APPLIED for changing the plan to a higher speed , perhaps speed test here may help.

My plan got changed today.Made out this as there were chargeable units in my account at data.bsn.in.Still no updates at track your order page.Now the bigger problem my modem download limit is set at 2046 Kbps.So max I am getting 2mbps on 8 Mbps connection.Do they change this remotely?Anyway i appreciate Bsnl service to change the plan on second day of applying.I will visit my Bsnl exchange tomorrow to sort out the problems.Thanks all for the help.
