PPPOE? It will be Bridge mode. New problem: Laptop detects Wireless network, connects to it post authentication. But once I open any site, "ADSL modem failed something" message appears. No problem with PC - I'm using DHCP Relay mode in LAN. But I don't get why can't I access from Laptop like I did earlier.

Thanks for the reference. My device setup varies. Pls see here for detailed screens:

Screenshots - Beetel - 450TC1 (Beetel Firmware) | PcWinTech.com

Also I noted that unless I setup DHCP as Relay my PC can't access Internet with default Beam network settings (i.e., Automatic IP/DNS in Network card).

I'm quite fed up with this device, TBH. I'm looking at PC as well as Laptop connectivity (not simultaneous) without changing settings every time. I don't know if it's possible or not.

Edit: I turned off services such as:

Routing and Remote Access
Terminal Services
Secondary Logon

Does this device depends on any such service? (XP-SP3)

Follow These steps to configure ADSL ROUTER:
1. Connect RJ 45 Cable to LAN1 on router (turn on router) and to Laptop or Desktop. (any one to configure the router first)
2. Log into router configuration window by using default ip EX: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 etc..using correct credintials (UN: admin PW: admin etc.... which ever)
3. Open "Inetrface setup" ---- "Wireless" --- SSID = givname like "suhani" Then go to Pre-shared key and enter your desired password " may be phone number along with few symbols and numbers ... minimum 8 characters" CLICK SAVE BELOW
(it may restart)
4. Then in the same "Inetrface setup" --- Click on "LAN" Under DHCP ...change the DHCP option to "Disable".
CLICK SAVE BELOW (it may restart)
5. THATS IT.
6. Now, Connect your RJ 45 cable to your desktop from the routers one of the ports. ANY LAN1 or LAN2 or LAN3 or LAN4.
7. After that connect the BEAM cable to one of the router port other then the desktop rj 45 cable connected.
8. From LAPTOP remove the RJ 45 cable if connected, then enable wireless settings on the laptop also check wireless drivers are installed for laptop and Check the Router SSID name from available Wireless signals on PC. Click on "SUHANI" and provide the "Pre-shared key" that you have configured before.
9. THAT'S ALL ABOUT YOUR ROUTER SETTINGS.
10. I AM SURE THAT SHOULD WORD.................... HAPPY BROWSING.

LET ME KNOW... IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PROBLEMS.

1. This thread is 2 years old (it's from 2013).
2. You might have misunderstood things. You are turning your modem+router into an Access Point. To use an Access Point, you need a router.
You MUST have a WAN port on your modem+router if you want to use ACT.

If a user is desperate for the cheapest router, they can get one for less then Rs. 600.

Thank you for the reply Uberjon.
I understand that we need to use the router (ADSL) as access point.
When you disable DHCP in router settings it works as a modem and access point at the same time,
All the 4 Lan ports works as modem and router accessible.
If you plug your BEAM cable in on the ports it will recieve the data from that port and broadcast (wirelessely and wired) the data from the ADSL router.

I have good knowledge on this ADSL routers.
You can check the above configuration in any ADSL router and update me the status, if possible.
